UPDF FC will look to make it two consecutive Uganda Premier League victories when we face Express FC at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Thursday, 15 October. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00pm EAT.
Our most recent outing brought a 1–0 victory over Maroons, providing a platform to build on as we pursue more points. With five points from four league matches, a win against Express would lift our tally to eight.
Hussein Mbalangu’s side face an Express team equally eager to return to winning ways. The hosts drew 0–0 with NEC in their last match, following a 1–1 draw against Kitara and a defeat to SC Villa. Both teams enter the encounter level on five points, adding significance to the contest.
The challenge for UPDF will be to build on the defensive solidity shown against Maroons while making the most of opportunities in attack. In a meeting between sides separated by little in the standings, concentration at both ends could prove decisive.
Express won the previous league meeting 1–0 in April, giving UPDF an opportunity to improve on that result when the teams meet again.
To our supporters making the trip to Nakivubo: bring your voices and get behind the team as we push for another three points.
